The first 6 months are the most critical to a dog’s behavioral development. During this period your puppy learns his place in the household and how to behave around humans and other dogs. Socializing your puppy at this time significantly affects how your puppy will react to situations as an adult.

In this class, you’ll spend time each week exposing your puppy or dog to new things to help him grow up to be a well-adjusted dog and a great family companion. This class will also help adolescent and adult dogs that need to unlearn habits you don’t enjoy and replace them with new, more desirable behaviors.

Class covers: Potty training techniques, don’t jump, come when called, walk on a loose leash, sit, down, stay, and more.

Manners Classes

Basic Manners Level I
Intermediate Manners Level II

Strengthen your puppy or young dog’s manners to create good habits for a lifetime. In adolescence, dogs often seem to forget what they learned in puppyhood. They are easily distracted, wary of things they barely noticed the day before, and generally drive their patient parents nuts. We’ll help you through this phase and out on the other side.

Class covers: Heel, go to your bed, and improve upon all the behaviors of Basic Manners, by adding distractions, distance, and duration to our sits, downs, stays, and recalls.

For: Graduates of Basic Manners: Level 1

Length: 4 weeks

Where: 1027 Tanney Lane, Hudson, WI 54016, map

Cost: $104

Class size: Max. 6 dogs
